I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Challenge - 101 Fantasy

I started the "paperwork" for this challenge but never got it posted! What the hey, I need another reading challenge!

101 Fantasy Reading Challenge
perpetual
hosted by Michelle of
The True Book Addict
at it's own blog

1. Pick the number of books you want to read. (from the list)

2. Create a list of the books you want to tackle. You can create a list now, or add them as you go. Completely up to you.

3. The challenge runs from 10/10/09 to 10/10/10 is perpetual.

4. Please post the direct link to your 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge post. (so that other participants can visit and see what you are reading)

5. Be sure to follow this blog because Bella created a fun meme and I will be posting that between now and the end of the challenge.

It all started when a couple of bloggers did a poll. They ended up with a list of 813 fantasy titles then they voted. This challenge is to read from that list. All of the top 10? sure. Five from each "10"? sure. You decide.

I'm going to list the top 101 whole list on a different post and mark which have been read and which I have no desire to read (rest of Twilight series). This is where I'll keep track of the ones I have read (ever), currently read and would like to read.

Titles I've read:
I've read 15 out of the top 20. Of those left, I have no desire to read three and own the other two. The list is way to long to repeat here, so view my copy of the whole list, I've read the ones in purple.

Titles I own or on my current TBR list:
Blue Moon by Alyson Noel
City of Bones, City of Glass and City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
The Hunger Games (Catching Fire and Mocking Jay) by Suzanne Collins

Almost anything on the list by Sherrilyn Kenyon or Christine Feehan

That's the, very, short list....There are some authors on the list that I have no desire to read more of. They are:
Stephanie Meyers, Laurell K Hamilton, and Lora Leigh
There are also some authors that I haven't read but want to:
JR Ward, Christopher Paolini, Mary Steward, ...
