I've been gone a while. I started reading fanfiction to escape and I got sucked in an abyss.

I have no idea if someone else is hosting similar challenges. I just grabbed some of what I have hosted before.

Here's to a happy year of great reading
Jan2023: Not much has changed. Writing a fanfiction now O_o as well as reading but I bought 7 new books in December and hope to get those read soon. Crossing fingers about adding challenges (late!)

Teaser Tuesday

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event.

Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:

--Grab your current read
--Let the book open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
--You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from… that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

"I note you do not ask after Cimber Furseus," Oakham said.

Liam shook his head. "No. I met him this afternoon, and I saw both the men who were killed. Furseus could not have done it."

"Y'are sure? Even a strong man can be taken by surprise, and it is but the work of a second to cut a throat."

This is from A Familiar Dragon, page 589, which is actually the paperback Beggar's Banquet by Daniel Hood
