Teaser Tuesday: a picture book

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts this cool weekly event.

Teaser Tuesdays asks you to:

--Grab your current read
--Let the book open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
--You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from… that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

"I don't mind dragons THIS size," said Mother, "Why did it have to grow so BIG?"

"I'm not sure," said Billy, "but I think it just wanted to be noticed."

Profound words from a little boy.

"There's NO Such Thing as a Dragon" by Jack Kent. This is a picture book with the print size/number of words per page that you'd expect from a picture book. The graphics are simple but very nice watercolors. This is classified as preschool reading level and I reviewed it on the 16th but this quote is on the last page and I felt it was worth telling you about, whether you have your own kids or just kids in the family.... My own "moral of the story" is that an adult's words can make the world of difference.
